Every cat that comes into our care costs the charity at least £60-£100 before it is re-homed. The ones in permanent care obviously need food and veterinary care for many years.
There are many ways in which you can help The Country Cat Shelter with these costs. Some of these are listed below.

By becoming a Friend of the Charity and receiving the quarterly Newsletter,
for which we ask a minimum donation of £5.00 per year. Click
for a printable form to fill
in and post.
By Sponsoring one of the many cats we have permanently in our care. For a
minimum donation of £10.00 you will receive a certificate with a photo of your
chosen cat, the quarterly newsletter, a letter from your cat and a Christmas
card.
Choose a cat from the `Sponsor
Us' page and click
for a printable form to fill in and post.
By donating goods, such as bric-a-brac, clothes, books, etc to our shop for
re-sale.
By
making handicrafts for sale in our shop.
By holding a Boot Sale, Garage Sale, Coffee morning, open garden, etc., and
donating part of your takings.
By volunteering for a shift in our Shop, if you live in the Beccles area.
By donating any skill that you might have. Such as painting & decorating,
woodwork, concrete base building. We occasionally just need muscle power, when
it comes to putting up a shed etc.
We also often need large things moved from one place to another, or items
delivered from D.I.Y. places. So if you have a van and some spare time we would
be most grateful.
Gift Aid works by allowing charities to take a donation (which is money that the donor has already paid tax on), and then reclaim tax on it's `gross' equivalent (it's value before tax was deducted), at the basic rate. This is 20% from 6th April 2008.
In practice, this means that for every £1.00 donated to charity using Gift Aid, the charity can claim an additional 25p from the Government.
So if you pay Tax, please ask the charity for a Gift Aid Declaration Form to fill in when you make a donation, whether it's for the Newsletter, for a Sponsored Cat, for Adopting a cat or simply a gift of money. You can also click here to print the Gift Aid Form, then simply fill it in and post it to:- Mike O'Farrell, 73, Stylman Road, Clover Hill, Norwich, NR5 9ET.

If you think you can help in any way no matter how small please ring ELAINE on 01502 574562, who will be pleased to hear from you.
